Criminal Justice Advocacy

Individuals with disabilities want the same things out of life as everyone else. They want a roof over their heads, meaningful employment, financial security, recreational opportunities, and social lives. They want to reach their full potential and be treated respectfully and fairly. They want to be full, participating members of the community. But, sometimes there are hurdles to jump over on the path to these goals. You don’t have to face these hurdles alone…we are here to help.

Criminal Justice Advocacy

Sadly, people with disabilities are more likely to be victims of crimes, more likely to be arrested, and more likely to be charged with crimes, than those without disabilities. Once entangled in the criminal justice system, people with disabilities face unique challenges.  If you or your loved one is involved with the criminal justice system, as a victim, witness, or defendant, and you need help identifying resources and navigating the process, we are here for you.

One of the greatest challenges for parents of adult children with disabilities is planning for the day when you can no longer care for them.  Planning for the future and assembling the supports and services needed to keep your loved one safe and secure can be daunting. We recognize that every family situation is unique and we work with you to create a plan that meets your individual needs.  Let’s get started!
